Don't you think it's mostly based on looks? I'm sure being friendly helps, but mostly I would think a guy is looking for a certain type. Maybe he likes tall and thin, or maybe they prefer big boobs and big rear end. Some might be looking for a blonde or a redhead. Others might look for the ';cute'; girl while others want a beautiful type.
