Ballet questions, I need some advice, help?

Well, lately I've been stretching alot. But, what can I do to have the strength to hold it? Adaggio?

Also, do you have any exercises I can use? Well, for anything. I just need some new exercises.

Thanks(:Ballet questions, I need some advice, help?
Adaggios are great. Also, try using a barre, just put your leg on top of it, and lift it up as high as you can go. When you're ready to put it down, do so very slowly.

Also, leg switches+crunches are good for your stomach. Every time during addagio, force yourself to hold it just a few moments longer, lift it up higher, and lower it.

You can do it! If your leg is very high, grab it and pull it up to the side of your head, then let go and see how long you can hold it.

Plus it helps to ask a teacher/friend to gently hold your leg for a minute or so so you have a little support but are still working.Ballet questions, I need some advice, help?
First, look to Amazon.com for books on the subject (see link below). Based on reader reviews, I would recommend ';Conditioning for Dance,'; ';NYC Ballet Workout...'; or ';The Joffrey Ballet School's Ballet-Fit.';

If you prefer to check out the books before buying, make a list of the titles that sound most interesting to you and see if your local public library has any of them in its collection. You also could visit your local bookstore where you at least can skim through the books before you buy.

Also, try books on Yoga or Pilates as they include exercises for building your ';core'; or ';center'; which will help in your strength and stability for the adagio movements.

Happy dancing!!
addagio. definetly.
