Need help with cat with excessive shedding, he sheds all year round. Any advice to help me?

There is a product called the Furminator, it is awesome!! It takes all of the hair off and your cat will have very reduced shedding for like two weeks!!!Need help with cat with excessive shedding, he sheds all year round. Any advice to help me?
Excessive shedding is in the eye of the beholder, and perhaps on the carpets and furniture.

Unless you have a long haired cat, which requires a special brush/comb, then I have provided a link to a brush-comb combination that will work well, to get off undercoat and surface fur. Regular brushing and combing is the trick. Cats shed year around.Need help with cat with excessive shedding, he sheds all year round. Any advice to help me?
It could be that your house is too dry.......very low humidity.....and that's causing the dry skin, which makes for more shedding. When we run the a/c or heat all year around, the air in the house just gets and stays too dried out.

Or, it could be that your cat needs more oil in his diet. Call and ask your vet what he recommends to help.......besides the constant brushing that will help, too.

Hope this helps.......Good luck.
you need to brush your cat. I have a long haired male who is WHITE and our couches are a dark color so I find it better when we brush him we get a lot of the excess hair rather than not brushing him at all. Also it could be the food your feeding him
this is typically a food or genetic problem

to see if it is a food related problem - read this link

also some cats shed because of stress.. is your cat stressed?
They should be groomed atleast twice a week until the shedding stops. Grooming is a very necessary thing to do with pet ownership.
Get a shed-ender or a de shedding comb and brush him regularly.
Indoor cats shed all year round. Brush, brush, brush!
