Can you help with some advice for a diabetic cat please.?

Call your vet. They should be able to tell you how much insulin the cat needs for its weight. Didn't they give you all that info when the cat was diagnosed? Can you help with some advice for a diabetic cat please.?

Sorry Alicat, but you don't say what the problem is exactly. Although you mention not being able to get the dose right, you don't say what symptoms your little baby (cat) is showing.

Are his/her blood sugars still too high, or are they going low?

We don't have a cat, but one of our dogs has been diagnosed diabetic. She's currently having twice daily injections, but she's gone on to develop complications. She has difficulty in seeing things now as she has cataracts in both eyes; She continues to develop infection after infection, and she's developing 'lumps' all about her little body. Our vet seems to think that they're something serious, but has advised us against pursuing further investigation as our little baby is getting on in years now.

I, myself, am type 1 diabetic, with complications, so I do know how poorly it can make diabetic pets feel.

I'm not medically trained, but if you feel that I might be able to offer some sort of assistance, don't hesitate to send me an email. (Just click on my photograph/avatar, and click on send an email.)
the meds for a diabetic cat are not cheap nowadays so i would suggest that you buy a hammer and hit it up the bum bum
