Help! Can anyone give me any good advice on what to do about being pregnant and underemployed?

I'm 28, just married, 6 months pregnant and we need to find a way to add to our income. Both my husband and I have full-time jobs, and together we make about $60k, but we're having a hard time staying afloat. We just paid all the expenses for our small wedding (about $800), trying to prepare for the baby, and $60k doesn't get you far living in Atlanta anyway. We buy generic and try to live below our means, but we still live paycheck to paycheck just trying to make sure we pay all of our bills. I've been trying to interview for other jobs, and even though the law states that employers aren't to discriminate against pregnant women, it still happens. My husband is about to take on a temporary part time job, but that will only handle one of our monthly bills. Our families aren't in position to help us and we are trying to make government aid our last resort (if we even qualify for it). I've searched for legit work at home jobs because I only get 2 wks paid maternity leave. Any suggestions?Help! Can anyone give me any good advice on what to do about being pregnant and underemployed?
money money money!

Hotlanta is expensive, you don't qualify for gov aid...at 60K

you could get a job w/ west, inc. or Arise, or Live ops or many other tele service jobs. Get paid every 2 weeks, and average at least 9-12 an hour. If you have a high speed connection you can work any hours of the day in 30 min shifts for West. You would be a independent contractor for West, but other companies do hire as employees as well. Your husband could do it too, if you like to talk on the phone! You will need a headset!

go to www.workplacelikehome.com it's a message board with all the real companies that hire work at home agents.

i work part time and make up to 800 per check!

no costs, no start up fees, it's a real company.

if you are trying to cut back on your expenses, are you using the Marta? I got rid of my car payment 5 years ago! I'll never pay another car payment, until the air car comes to town!

telemarketing, sell on ebay, publish with google adsense and get paid for ads, check your local classfieds and http://workathomeproviders.com has listings as well

good luck
Have you thought about doing in house sales there are many options out there and you could supplement your income in a positive way. You could sell home interiors, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Avon, Arbonne, candles, there are lots of options.
The next couple of months will most likey be rough. I hope what i say will go to heart. You will always be behind with a job. Part of the reason is the job the other part is your thought process. Money usually makes problems multiply. Read Books. They help you think objectively. Secondly your husbands extra time would be better spent starting a business. that way he can be there for you.

There are several On line businesses that can make you an unlimited amount of money . but there are things you need to look at.

I sell the Pampered Chef and I love it! I've been doing it since Feb. '05 and have a 2.5 year old and 5 month old. The products are fabulous, and the kit is only $155 and you get more than $500 worth of stuff! On average you earn $100 per show anyway, so you'd make that money back quickly. For more info, you can e-mail me or check out www.pamperedchef.biz/ candiceskitchen

Hope this helps!
Create a well defined budget to see where your money is going. Track ALL expenses every last cent. You need to know where you may be able to cut spending. Cut all non-required expenses, lattes, going out to eat, cable, etc. anything that is not absolutely required to survive.

Any extra money use to pay down and pay off credit cards, pay off the lowest balance first.

Use this extra money that was going to the first credit card to pay down and off the next highest balance credit card.

This keeps on going until all credit cards are payed off, then focus on car and house.

Getting another job is a good thing to help pay bills.

The budget is HUGE in managing you finances...
