Q: Prove the quadrilateral is a parallelogram by using Theorem 5-7; if the diagonals of a quadrilateral bisect each other, then it is a parallelogram. (Hint: Use the Midpoint formula.)
Point Dimensions:
A(-5,-1)
B(6,1)
C(4,-3)
D-7,-5)Geometry work! Need help, advice whatever you can give!?
Find midpoints of AC and BD
AC = [1/2(-5+4), 1/2(-1+-3)] = (-1/2, -2)
BD = [1/2(6+-7), 1/2(1+-5)] = (-1/2, -2)
Same midpoints, diagonals bisect each other.
