I'm interested in finding a job in the UK; any help or advice would be apperciated?

I current work for a private estate and family in the US. I have excellent culinary and mangement skills.I'm interested in finding a job in the UK; any help or advice would be apperciated?
Decide where in UK you would like to be (better outside of London which is expensive, and great numbers competiing for jobs), and look up the local newspapers. If they have employment sections, you can check out what is available.

Real estate offices don't need many staff to run them, and the real estate scene may be very different from your experience in US. Culinary skills (particularly if you have certs awarded to you) might be a better starting point. A town may have a couple of real estate agents, but dozens of places to eat. And each of them needs all kinds of staff - cooking, cleaning, waiting, cashier .......

Good luck !!I'm interested in finding a job in the UK; any help or advice would be apperciated?
Join the queue... like everyone else here who is looking for work. Especially the natives!
Why not come over for a short while to look around and if you like it apply for a work permit.

A lot of mundane jobs in catering are being filled by very attractive East Europeans, but there are always openings for Good Class Chefs in pubs, clubs and restaurants.

There are a lot of ';home caring'; jobs which can be got though agencies.

There is still work for anyone who WANTS to work in England. You could become a Utility Sales Adviser or similar, but you do have to pass the MIRROR TEST. Are you up to it ? Yes they put a mirror in front of your face and ask you to breath out - if the mirror mists up - you get the job !!!

Go for it..We have plenty of Poles, we are looking for a few Rods and Perches. (Doubt any youngster would get that joke)
you need to get a visa to work here first

then take your cv aand send it to different firms but dont expect too much because theres a lot of british people unemployed at the moment
get a visa to work in the UK. Or you could get a job with a US company and get them to sponsor your UK visa - but this might take time.

When you have a visa, you need to register with recruitment consultants who can match your CV to vacancies they are looking to fill. Check out totaljobs.com or michaelpage.com for current vacancies.
