I am 13 & want to become a lawyer. Is there any advice that you can give me that will help me in the future?

I know that to become a good lawyer you need to be able to have the ability to communicate well. I can communicate with people, but I wouldn't necessarily say that I am too good at it. Is there a way I can get better at this?

Also, my dream is to go to Stanford. I know it's kind of too much to hope for, but I have straight A's in school and I think I might have a chance.

I would really appreciate any advice that anyone could offer to me; I know I am a little too young but I think it is good to get a head start on things.I am 13 %26amp; want to become a lawyer. Is there any advice that you can give me that will help me in the future?
Nice that you're starting young. And you're right, communication skills are important.

Good grades are just a basic starting point. A lot of schools want to know that you're ';human.'; What do you do for recreation and volunteer work? Do you demonstrate an interest in the law with any activities?

Also, don't pick subjects based on what you think law schools are looking for (i.e. don't major in Pre-Law in college). Law schools will notice when you're just trying to do what you think will please them a lot of them won't appreciate that very much. They do want to see an active, clear, and original thinker. I recommend majoring in Philosophy.I am 13 %26amp; want to become a lawyer. Is there any advice that you can give me that will help me in the future?
You are 13 years old. I was still playing with dolls and dreaming of all sorts of careers. In my opinion you are reseaching way too soon, (have FUN...Play, Socialize with excellent kids, , This is your one and only life on Earth! work hard at things you truly enjoy!!!) but it is great that you are so curious and want to learn, just MAKE SURE YOU ARE DOING SO FOR YOURSELF AND NOT TO SATISFY ANYONE ELSE. I wanted to be a teacher at your age, then a vet at 15, then a teacher again at 17. I taught school for 25 years. Keep researching all your options for fun, GO FOR WHAT YOU ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN for your career. You will work for a huge part of your life and you are (trust me!!) going to want to LOVE WHAT YOU DO!!! Don't be a lawyer and go to STtanford just because it sounds good.

Good luck and best wishes....Have FUN!!
Study hard in school, you need to be able you can learn and learn quickly. Do some public speaking whenever you can, speak in front of peers, teachers, parents, etc. Get involved in the community, join a club or two. You want to be well rounded so get into a sport or two, academic club, and some community organization. This way you will understand different people and have lots of experiences. Perfect practice makes perfect so practice what you are weak at and get some feedback.

Talk to your parents, guidance councelor and teachers about your goals so they can help... visit the bar and lawyer websites... talk to folks... shadow a lawyer if allowed.

Best of luck.
Yeah they shouldnt be allowed to drop out because if they are feelin ';tired'; one day they can ';skip school'; then after they get too far behind.... they will drop out....and NO DREAM BIG!!!!!!!!!!

I heard this saying that goes....SHOOT FOR THE MOON.....if you dont get there you will land on one of the stars...... CLOSER THEN YOU WERE..... so yeah keep your goals.....
debate club

toastmasters (for public speaking)

paralegal certificate maybe to get some basic knowledge of law.
All the evidence is in his left shoe.
My advice- if you don't get into Stanford, your life isn't over. College is college, just get into one with a law program if the Ivy Leagues won't accept you.

Second- my boyfriend just told me about his friend who is a lawyer. His friend defended a child pronographer and got the scum bag off the charges. If you're going into law, you will be faced with not only getting the righteous what they deserve, but you might also have to defend criminals.
Here is something you may want to plan for now. With top notch schools like Stanford, it is very competitive to be accepted at the school. Straight A grades isn't enough to cut it anymore. The schools want to see a well rounded education and life outside of school. Not only will they want top grades, they will want to see what you do with yourself outside of the classroom with extra curricular activities. Participate in school sports, participate in school clubs, and especially important, participate in charitable causes. This was told to me by a friend, who both her and her husband are Stanford alumni, and her father was a professor at Stanford. Even with their ';legacy';, being alumni, their daughters are not guaranteed acceptance into the school without considering their grades and their extra curricular activities.
Pay attention in your English classes so that you learn how to write effectively. The ability to communicate via the written word is as important to an attorney as their speaking abilities. Certainly Stanford Law School is an excellent choice but there are many other choices that are available to you as well. Don't discount those before you start. And, most importantly...you have to get your undergraduate degree first! So you must maintain your focus and direction for the next 8 years. But remember, you can't ignore your social responsibilities either...many undergraduate schools want to see something more than just good grades.
Good for you! With this kind of ambition, I am sure you can be anything you want and go to a great school in order to get there. And you do NOT have to be outspoken to be a good lawyer. There are all types of lawyers--you don't have to be a trial lawyer, prosecutor, or criminal defender who rants and raves in court.

Here's the best advice for you, since you're so young: READ!! If you don't like to read, you may be in trouble because law school is all about reading and writing (and so is being a lawyer). Reading a lot helps you be a good writer because it expands your vocabulary and exposes you to great writers. You will need to ace the LSAT to get into Stanford, and it is based largely on reading/writing skills. You might even start taking practice LSAT exams now; they will be like second nature to you in 10 years when your future depends on it.

Secondly, just go to Stanford's website and read their admissions criteria. Then spend the next 5-10 years making sure you become their ideal candidate. You'll have to stand out--study abroad, learn another language, spend your summers doing internships that are related, volunteer, and be active in your community.

Good luck!!
Good for you for thinking of this now.

The only advice I'm qualified to give you is this:

ALWAYS be nice to your secretary and to all the other support staff members in whatever law firm you end up joining.

Don't lose touch with your feminine side. There are many female attorneys who seem to think they have to dress like men and act like men in order to get ahead. Not true, so don't do it! (That's probably a thing of the past anyway).

Don't sign up for Arrogance 101. This is a class many attys have attended, and it shows. Take a pass on that one!

As for your communication skills, it may depend somewhat on what area of law you decide to go into. You're probably thinking of litigation - I don't know that you need to be especially glib if you decide to work in intellectual property!
First and foremost you have to be a good student willing to sacrifice your free time for study. That's a tall order for most teenagers.
join debate, speech. but keep an open mind. something else might come along that interests u more. u might change ur mind numerous times before u settle on something.
I do agree with you that it's probably a bit too early to make a definite decision about the direction of your career. However, it also makes sense to develop broader skills that you might need for that and many other professions. My best friend is a lawyer, and from my observations you will do well if you:

a) work to improve your memory. In law school and after, you'll need to memorise innumerable statutes and cases. Buy memory tapes, read more etc

b) definitely work on your writing skills. On your bar exam, you'll need to write an essay, and it won't be easy.
you can do what they said, and also try having an internship at a law firm when you are older
Learn to lie very convincingly. And,Christina, Stanford is not an Ivy League school last time I checked.
13 is NOT too young. It's a good age to know what you want in life. Continue to pursue your dream and make sure that it is what you want, what you enjoy, and not what you're told you want. Make sense? There is a lot of reading involved in the law profession so develop a love of knowledge gained through reading. Join, or start, a debate team in your middle school and learn to argue persuasively. Brush up on your vocabulary skills and practice your inductive and deductive thinking by playing logic games which make up a large part of the LSAT. Make sure that, starting now, you become a well-rounded individual through high school and college so you can be that same well-rounded individual as a professional.
get good grades.
We'll boil this down into a simple checklist:

(1) Do as well as you can in school and get good grades.

(2) Stay out of trouble with the law.

(3) Be involved in your school and your local community -- that'll help you get into a good college like Stanford.

(4) Take as many writing courses as you can to improve your written communication skills.

(5) When you get into college, join your local Toastmasters organization to learn effective public speaking from people who have lots of experience.

(6) For your first four years in college, major in something that will help you do a job other than being a lawyer, just in case you find being a lawyer isn't for you -- I recommend management.

(7) Spend the money on one of those two-day seminars on how to prepare for the LSAT -- a lawyer I know tanked the first time he took it but did much better the second time around.

(8) Try to get work as a clerk at a law firm during your summer breaks -- that'll give you a REALLY good look at what working as a lawyer is like.

Pursue your dream, and best of luck!
First of all, to become a lawyer, it is common to get a 4 year undergraduate degree from an accredited university (or at least be working on your degree) before you apply to law school. Some common majors are political science, psychology, and criminal justice. It is in those four years of college that you will probably decide whether or not you want to pursue law. But don't be surprised if your career choices change a few times. In junior high, I wanted to be a radiologist. In high school, I wanted to be a therapist. And now, I want to be a teacher. Some people decide early what they want to do, and do it. Typically, however, people change their mind several times. Remember though, it's never too early to think about the future, and it's good that you are! It is true that for this field of study, you need very good communication skills, and depending on what type of law you plan on pursuing, very good public speaking skills. Most people, at some time or another, have a fear of public speaking. You are not alone! I still get queasy thinking about it. But it does get better in time, and the more you are exposed to it, the better it will get. Take any and all classes that allow you to practice speaking. Debate is a good class to take. Also participate in class discussions as much as possible to get used to it. Becoming an effective communicator takes time and practice, just like anything else. Once you get into college, get some experience in the field. Go volunteer or shadow at an office or firm. This is important, because depending on your major, your classes may not give you much insight into what the field of law is all about. Internships are also good. And lastly, one very important thing...if you have a dream, pursue it! Never think that it is unattainable. You will never know until you try. Stanford is very competitive, but work hard, and know that it is possible. Don't let go of your dreams. Best wishes and good luck to you!
You are never too young, make sure you take all your classes seriously. And this path requires sacrifice, its a lot of schooling for a big dream. Be proud and go for it

this is what my cousin says to do:

if you're a...

boy- touch her boob and if she pulls a weird face then stop, but if she doesnt then slowly take off her shirt, remove her bra, and switch between sucking and rubbing.

girl- if she likes the idea of two lesbians getting it on then just do what i said for the boy and scissor.
If u don't know what to do, don't worry about it. If you're not ready, don't rush anything. Right now, you are just teasing her. I'm sure she likes that and she'll keep coming back for more. Wait until you wanna pounce on her.
suck suck suck.....seriously
Just kiss her, Then maybe return the favor.
Just eat em. Whole.
RTF FTW
You should go to a lesbian sex therapist
you should rub them softlly and then start to suck on them
; ask Dr. Phill
yea suck on them, it feels sooo good. lick them. nibble on them,
Don't bite them what ever you do!

Anyone got any advice for my Texans to help them get better next year?

The Arman Greene thing isnt going to happen and that is a big must have RB ..what do you think.? and should they get the help they need through the draft of what..who should they get?Anyone got any advice for my Texans to help them get better next year?
im also a texan go texans.well i think we need to draft a rb it be cool if mcfadden drops i doubt it i think we should draft jonathan stewart or steve slaton or we can wait till third round and maybe felix jones or mike hart will drop.this offseason we need one more offenseive linemen our d-line is preety desent though our secondary is weak at the saftey position i think dunta robinson and bennet will be great at cb position we also need anothe reciever on the other side of andre maybe jacoby jones can step up.well the biggest thing is the rb in all our history we have never had the explosive rb who can take it to the house on every play.there was a rumor that we were interested in getting michael turner from chargersAnyone got any advice for my Texans to help them get better next year?
Mr. green just got injured. how can you say it's not working out. give him another year. green did the same thing in Seattle. what the Texans need is a better group of up front people. what that means is better linemen. both on offense and defense. they also need to get better looking cheerleaders. (ha ha)
There is a rumor going around that Roy Williams (the receiver wants out of Detroit). Him being a native Texan, and loving his homeland, he might show interest in Houston. If the Texans could pull him in, that passing attack would be stellar with Williams and Johnson starting, and a speedster like Andre Davis in the slot.

Other needs would be a FS, and some LBs to go with DeMeco Ryans, and likely a RB. There's plenty of talent out there at RB this year, whether you want to bring in a guy like Michael Turner, or draft someone.
draft a saftey or a cornerback. try and make a trade to get shaun alexander. use a second or third round draft pick on an offensive tackle. keep andre johnson healthy.
defense
1. keep schwab healthy

2. keep andre davis and andre johnson healthy

3. draft rashard mendenhall in the draft out of illinois

he is the best rb avaible when houston picks

4. Mario williams keeps on getting those sacks

he might turn out the be better than reggie even tho everyone comlained about picking him
Sorry to say, but I knew Green wasn't going to do much for the Texans. He was sitting on the side lines majority of the time for GB and fumbled the ball Way too much. I think they need to work on getting a better RB and Defense. They could also fix up on their special teams. Texans actually did better then I thought they would. But with out a solid D, it's doesn't win enough games.
They could possibly trade up in the draft with Miami to get Darren McFadden. I also think that they need to get Dunta Robinson some help in the secondary. But I do agree with the guy above me who said that Mendanhall would be a good choice if they didn't trade up

I need advice, please help!!! This guy likes me and I like him back, and idk how to approach him!?

So there is this guy, who think im cute, and is too shy to talk to me. And I like him too, and I don't know how to approach him, and what to say and when. But I don't want to go out with him (since I cant.) I want to become a good friend. I would realllllyyyyyyy appreciate it if anyone can help me with this.I need advice, please help!!! This guy likes me and I like him back, and idk how to approach him!?
Before you go out with someone, you have to be really good friends. Let him know you are there to talk to. Start texting him and talk about stuff you think he might be interested in. Gradually a friendship will grow. Before you know it ya'll will be able to go to the movies by yourselves without any pressure.

  • Have dry & cracked feet need advice on what will help heal them?

For years I have had dry cracked feet. Been to the Doctor not much help there. I have tried almost everything on the market for it. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of what might help. It is a very painful condition because of the cracking which affects the heels and sides of feet. Thanks I appreciate it.Have dry %26amp; cracked feet need advice on what will help heal them?
I had this condition for many years, even had a foot doctor shave the skin off. Don't do that; I couldn't walk for a week. It is very painful because the calluses crack and bleed. The cosmetic side of this was NOT my major concern

Then, I had a oral medicine to combat a fungus infection (unrelated condition). All of a sudden, my feet were completely clear and still are after 4+ years. It is too much of a coincidence that they were cured and are to this day.

Furthermore, my excessive dandruff which I had had also since adolescence went away. Amazing!

I had tried every cream, defoliating gadget etc., that you can name. It was not because of poor hygiene because I am doing nothing different now.

Try to find some lotion that advertises to be anti-

fungal or you can go to a foot doctor for anti-fungal pill. I wish that I had done that years ago.Have dry %26amp; cracked feet need advice on what will help heal them?
Do you wear open or closed toed shoes? I've found that when I wear flip flops more often than tennis shoes, my feet get super super dry and cracked. So that might be a starting idea. I've found that a few things can help with dry feet. First would be all natural lotions or creams. Many lotions have alcohol in them, which will dry your skin out. Natural stuff doesn't. Second would be vitamin e oil, and third is petroleum jelly. Put any of said product on your feet right after you get out of the shower, and then put socks on. Leave the socks on for at least an hour. The longer, the better, as it'll help your feet soak in the moisture. Give it a few days as such (potentially repeat the process before bed) and see if that helps. It's what I've always done.
Apply petroleum jelly under your socks at night, and exfoliate the soles of your feet with a pumice stone.
use hot water and alvacoto scrub to help soften and restore
    lotion every day?
lotion, and get the pedegg!!!! PED-EGG! IT ROCKS!
soap your feet in warm oatmail in spa think puille gold bold foot it work

Any advice on how to help my friend with a (what I call) eating disorder?

She is 97 lbs and thinks she fat? It's possible she could have BDD. It's a psychological disorder in which a person becomes obsessed with imaginary defects in their appearance. You need to talk to her parents, how can they not be noticing this? Well talk to them because that's what a GOOD friend should do, whether she doesn't want you to or not, it's for her benefit.

Even if it's not BDD, she has an eating disorder and it's still a mental illness. She needs professional help.Any advice on how to help my friend with a (what I call) eating disorder?
Well when I was 14 i was 5'1 and 90 pounds and I didn't do any of that.

When she starves herself, that doesn't make you loose weight. And if she is watching her calories, i don't think she will fo underweight. She will just stay where she is pretty much.

Just tell her that you are worried about her. Tell her what you feel.
talk to her %26amp; tell her you're worried

take pics of her then show them to her and show her she's skinny

( my friend did that with her cousin )

someone it takes someone else to say it too, you should ask someone in front of her if she's fat
i understand what your friend is coming from....

Help i got a interview tuesday please i need advice?

Ok so this is my first jon interview ever!, I em 18. I got a interview with my mom's company as a leasing agent this tuesday. What should i wear?, and any tips you guys can give me in order to land this job?Help i got a interview tuesday please i need advice?
Relax and be yourself. Wear something that is nice, but not too dressy and not flashy. If you have a nice, ironed pair of slacks, a long sleeved, button up shirt and a tie, that's perfect.

Since you're interviewing at your mom's company, she is a good person to ask for help in making sure you have a good outfit.

    Now for the interview...

    Don't hurry through your answers. A lot of people get nervous and start to talk really fast. It's okay to take a breath after a question and say, ';Hmmm, let me think about that...Well, I could say that my strongest qualities are my willingness to learn and that I can collaborate well with people.';

    If they ask you about your weaknesses or areas for improvement, don't say you don't have any, because we all do. Think of one or two that aren't detrimental. Like, don't say, ';Oh, I'm always late to everything!'; That's a bad weakness to expose for an interview because they want employees on time. A better one is, ';I sometimes take on too many responsibilities.';

Even think of one or two questions you might ask, like, ';What type of training do you offer?'; or ';Is this a good place for me to learn about property management?'; or maybe a question your mom thinks might be good. Interviewers often ask if you have any questions for them. It's okay to say no, but having a question can show you are thinking about how working there will be.

So, turn off your cell phone when you arrive, relax, be yourself, take a breath, make eye contact. Don't be afraid to take a moment to think when responding and, remember that it's just a person that you'll be talking to.

Good luck and I hope you get the job! :)Help i got a interview tuesday please i need advice?
Wear a suit and tie. Have your resume handy and a cover letter. Prepare some questions to ask them, and not ';how much will I make an hour?'; I would have someone proof read your resume. You made some simple mistakes alone in your question to us. Do not do this with your interview. Plenty of people looking for a job. Just relax, be professional, and learn something about the company and what they do.
    You should dress the way the job requires you to dress. And you should have questions of your own ready to ask the interviewer, to show you are interested and have given thought to things.Also, give specific in fo on your skills, not tired cliches like '; I,m a team player '; or ';I'm a people person';
Just be yourself. They'll probably ask you questions like why is this job for you or why do you want to work here ? Just go in there happy and with a good attitude. If you seem nervious they'll be able to sence that. Just keep yur spirits high. Show them why you deserve this job
something nice ask your mom that would be good

and i just read something on yahoo about 10 bad body language

i didnt read it but maybe it will help

    Redecorating, advice and help needed?

I really need to redecorate my hall and bathroom, i was hoping that someone could tell me what type of paint to use and what colours you think will work well with those rooms? i am not looking for anything to fancy just rather plain, working will minimal money but got alot of time on my hands

    any help would be great

    ThanksRedecorating, advice and help needed?
Halls need to be light. so a creamy colour would look good.

Bathroom, again light is good. any tiling ??? white or a very pale brown, coffee , praline, .....Redecorating, advice and help needed?
do not use flat or eggshell, can't wash it. Satin, semi-gloss, or gloss, the more gloss the more flews show. Satin is safe and washable..any neutral color is best, unless you have a specific decorating style in mind. White will brighten and make a space look bigger.
The colour scheme really depends on your own taste - we find the a magnolia colour emulsion on the walls in a hallway, with white gloss woodwork, gives a feeling of light and airy, and a very good backdrop for a coloured carpet and bright pictures.

On the walls in a bathroom you will need one of the special bathroom emulsions, matt or silk finishes which will withstand the moisture.

You could use wallpapers, but that is likely to be more expensive.
Hallway magnolia - nice and light - preferably one of the wipe clean emulsions. stairway walls tend to get grubby especially with children.

Bathroom - moisture resistant emulsion - in a light colour to match your tiles. If white tiles magnolia would work in there too.

If you are painting over a colour than will need 2 or 3 coats get a large tub of white trade emulsion to use as an undercoat

very cheap and will save yyoou on the more expensive paint.
i'm currently redoing my room and my bathroom. My theme is black and white, with white walls and black trim/windowsills/doors. It looks really cool so far. I would recomend something warm for the hallway though, like red carpet and beige walls.
    A few tips ,

    Before painting

1 . Use pollyfiller found at your local hardware store to fill all the chips in the walls , wait to dry and fill again because of shrinkage . Also scrape off any lumps on the walls .

2 . sand the walls with a fine sand paper to make smooth expecially the patching up you did with the pollyfiller .

3 . Dust of the walls with a broome or whatever .

4 . Use an undercoat of similar colour first so the finnished coat looks fresher .

Usually acrylic paints are used on household walls .

You get 12-16 square metres per a litre x by 2 for 2 coats .

Use a low sheen finnish or flat if the walls are in bad condition so the bumps etc will not be highlighted aswell .

When using a painting roller , roll evenly and dont leave rollermarks , use 2 roller widths per a full dip in the paint and smooth off . Light colors do well basicly stick to whatever colors go well with the rest of the house .
Light colours always make small space look bigger...

When you do paint it buy the best paint you can afford, cheap paint makes for more hard work...More coats are put on with using cheap paint so avoid it if you can afford to...
my hall is cream and black accesories etc its sounds really dull but it looks realy nice and my bathroom is white walls with duck egg blue accesories hope this helps if you do decide on cream or white remember that them colours go with anyting so iv you are like me you can change your accesories and curtians anytime you feel like it and it wont cost an arm or leg good look x
erm any beige, cream or browns in the hall! keep it simple, no bold wallpapers and keep everything modern looking! It will look fab! For the bathroom, try white! just keep it clean, simple and finish it of with chrome taps, not gold! be modern, we are a modern living world after all!

    good luck with the re-dec
It sort of depends on the amount of light that comes into the hall. If it is bright, then you can go with a bolder color. If it is dim, then a soft pastel or cream would be better. Same with the bathroom, although I tend to like pastels in the bathroom - especially greens and blues. If you feel confident enough, you could fancy up the bathroom paint job with some stenciling - maybe some simple vine or sea shell design.

By the way, if you have any water stains to cover, don't forget the Killz to keep the stain from soaking through your new paint. Any good flat latex should do for the walls and a semi-gloss for any woodwork. You might look for a paint that is resistant to mold for the bath, but they are usually a bit more expensive.
http://housetohome.co.uk has loads of rooms to look at, it might give you the inspiration you are looking for, there are seperate sections for bathrooms and hallways!

in the bathroom make sure you use a kitchen/bathroom paint, only a pound ot two more expensive but worth it!

in the hallway use paint that is spongable/washable as it is in a fairly busy area of your home!
I will keep it simple and assume you are in the UK. Keep it light for two reasons, one dark colours close the space down and two, the darker the colour on the walls the more your unprofessional cutting in will show when you try to paint a straight line against the white ceiling.

The best colours would be white on the ceiling and an off-white or the palest colours on the walls. Two coats of Dulux Vinyl Matt, cheaper paint is a false economy.

On the woodwork your rub it down to key the surface and if you want a fully shiny surface put one undercoat and one gloss coat on. If you want a semi-shiny surface I recommend two coats of Dulux Satinwood.

You need a 1'; and a 2'; brush for cutting in the edges of your emulsion and ideally the same again for your woodwork paint. Paint falls into two categories, water-based and oil-based and you cannot mix the brushes of these two categories. Your emulsion will be water based and likely your wood paint will be oil based. You need a 9'; roller, cage (handle) and tray for the walls and ceiling and try to buy a cheap roller pole. You want a small white spirit for cleaning yourself when using any oil-based paint.

Bathroom walls and ceiling - Dulux Quickdrying Eggshell, bit expensive though.

Go to the health food store and get an all natural body cleanse. It comes in pill form and your body will accept it better than chemicals. I used it and you won't believe the difference. Also try to eat as little meat as possible while still getting your protein. It is recommended by doctors to take a multi vitamin any time your are trying to lose weight so you are sure to get everything your body needs. Good luck:)I have over 100 pounds to lose. I just read a very intriguing website about a lady who lost 55kg (121 pounds) with a diet pill called Liproxenol. The poor girl was very depressed, couldn鈥檛 find a boyfriend, just in a bad place. But she got out of her depression once she lost her weight. I know how she feels as I went through something similar when I was overweight. She used a diet pill to drag her out of depression (Liproxenol). I myself just worked out 2 hours daily and went on a low carb diet and didn鈥檛 use any diet pills. It was tough, but I ended up losing a lot of weight too. In some ways I wish I had just taken the easy option and bought this Liproxenol diet pill also, but I am still happy with the hard work I put in. I have included the link for the lady who lost 55kg (121 pounds) if you feel like a short read:

  • I need help in choosing the best cruise ship- any advice?

We are planning to go cruising in the Western Caribbean in February. We want to port in New Orleans so we can catch Mardi Gras. The only one I can find so far is from Carnival- the Fantasy ship. The ratings for it were pretty poor. Has anyone ever sailed this cruise, and do you know anything about the ship? Is there any way to get the ABSOLUTE best deal or tips to upgrade rooms for free? Ive never cruised before, and seriously need some tips. Please help!I need help in choosing the best cruise ship- any advice?

They have 2 locations in Louisiana so they can help!!I need help in choosing the best cruise ship- any advice?
Have you considered selecting a mini-cruise onboard a crewed sailing catamaran?

Most experienced travellers to the Caribbean will tell you that you cannot fully appreciate the beauty of places like the British Virgin Islands if are on a floating hotel.

Crewed catamarans offer a luxury sailing on smaller sleek, comfortable mega multihulls with a full service crew.

You can even book a 'cabin' with other couples aboard these cats with full course meals, sunset cruising and swims to nearby beaches without the hassle of stomach poisining wiating in lines or having to walk down those long corridors to get to your cabin.

A vacation onbaord a crewed catamaran is one of the 'best kept secrets' around but they will change as travel to the Caribbean explodes.

There are a number of catamaran operators in the Gulf and Caribbean who can service couples and groups.

    Here are a few:

    www.catamarans.com

    www.moorings.com

    www.sevenseas.com

Also, remember that you need a passport to travel now and you cannot enjoy the splendour of the Caribbean onboard a massive boat which looks out of place in the Garden of Eden.
the best cruise is Disney - but they dont sail from New Orleans.

Carnival is OK, but mostly college kids partying and old people gambling.

    upgrades for free? yeah, right.

you can get good deals if you buy your package early - the sooner the better. If you are shopping for Mardi Gras cruises now, you will get hosed, its too late. But its a great time to book summer and fall cruises.

Also, check with different travel agents, some have better deals with different cruise lines. Triple A has some bargains if you are a member.
I'm a big fan of sailing vacations. I've been on a big cruise ship before, not the Fantasy, and it was very nice but just recently my husband and I went on a ';crewed charter'; and it was just amazing!!!

If you're not familiar a crewed charter comes with a captain and a chef and they cater to your every need!!

My charter was on a 60ft beautiful Privilege catamaran called Best Revenge. The crew was so nice and they took us to amazing beaches and snorkelings spots.

It truly exceeded all our expections and can't wait to do it again. Here's their website address. You should check it out.

How to make my hair look shiny? Please help I need Advice!!?

I wanna make my hair shiny and prettty but I don't know how to do it?How to make my hair look shiny? Please help I need Advice!!?
For hair to be really shiny naturally it needs to be healthy and have enough moisture. Make sure you get it trimmed regularly and use good shampoo and conditioners. Also try not to do stuff that damages it very often- blow drying, irons, etc damage your hair and make it less shiny. Every week or two use a deep conditioner, also clarifying shampoo to get rid of built up products that make your hair dull (don't use at the same time though I think?).

There are a ton of different shine products you can use also- I guess try a few different kinds. Some work for me and some just make my hair kind of sticky or greasy so test some out to find the best one:) They should have at least a few at any drugstore- just look for something with shine or gloss in the name.

Who can help me with some dating advice?

I like this girl that is a couple of years older than I am. A guy that knows her said that if I was at least year older that she would date me. Is it possible that I still have a chance? What do I do?Who can help me with some dating advice?
I think you could still have a chance with her :)

I'm a girl and I know that, even though it was kind of odd to my friends, I've had feelings for a guy that's two years younger than me.

If the girl feels like you're at her maturity level then she'll just forget about your age and like you for you.

    :]

Good luck (:Who can help me with some dating advice?
Yes! She needs the chance to get to know you before she decides on age. Here is a site that my friend uses and loves. It is http://www.datingtips247.com Hope this helps!

Need help with cat with excessive shedding, he sheds all year round. Any advice to help me?

There is a product called the Furminator, it is awesome!! It takes all of the hair off and your cat will have very reduced shedding for like two weeks!!!Need help with cat with excessive shedding, he sheds all year round. Any advice to help me?
Excessive shedding is in the eye of the beholder, and perhaps on the carpets and furniture.

Unless you have a long haired cat, which requires a special brush/comb, then I have provided a link to a brush-comb combination that will work well, to get off undercoat and surface fur. Regular brushing and combing is the trick. Cats shed year around.Need help with cat with excessive shedding, he sheds all year round. Any advice to help me?
It could be that your house is too dry.......very low humidity.....and that's causing the dry skin, which makes for more shedding. When we run the a/c or heat all year around, the air in the house just gets and stays too dried out.

Or, it could be that your cat needs more oil in his diet. Call and ask your vet what he recommends to help.......besides the constant brushing that will help, too.

    Hope this helps.......Good luck.
you need to brush your cat. I have a long haired male who is WHITE and our couches are a dark color so I find it better when we brush him we get a lot of the excess hair rather than not brushing him at all. Also it could be the food your feeding him
this is typically a food or genetic problem

to see if it is a food related problem - read this link

    http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/What-is-in-鈥?/a>

also some cats shed because of stress.. is your cat stressed?
They should be groomed atleast twice a week until the shedding stops. Grooming is a very necessary thing to do with pet ownership.
Get a shed-ender or a de shedding comb and brush him regularly.
Indoor cats shed all year round. Brush, brush, brush!

If you could offer one piece of advice you have learned that could really help someone? What would it be?

We all learn lessons and tidbits of wisdom throughout our lives - sometimes very painful lessons. If you could pull someone aside that was maybe a bit younger than yourself and you wanted to give them the most candid bit of advice about life that you could, what would it be? Maybe a lesson that you wished somebody would have grabbed you and made you listen to a long time ago. Maybe it was something you learned only after living for so many years and seeing the big picture. Maybe it's something that you learned only after it was too late to correct. What if you could share your knowledge with the world and help others do better. I'm curious in a serious way so please keep the one-liners to a minimum. If you could offer one piece of advice you have learned that could really help someone? What would it be?
Courtesy costs nothing so use it freely.

Never criticize someone until you've walked a mile in their footsteps.

Remember, we all share the human condition so respect one another and play nice.

Sadly, old men talk and young men die. It is the way of the world. If you could offer one piece of advice you have learned that could really help someone? What would it be?
Lots of appropriate answers, but here are a few really important ones.

    1. Your reputation is all you have, do nothing to have it called into question.

    2. You are here on this earth to make it a better place.

    3. Nothing is more important than family, love them unconditionally.

    4. Never do anything you can't tell your grandmother about!!
Well, you're not going to like this, but..........

There would be no problems anywhere, EVER, if people actually did treat others the way they wanted to be treated.

    Life could be SO simple.

    AND GOOD.
Respect yourself...if you do then your choices will be wise. Wish I could live by it!
Live life fully and honestly. Change what you can, accept what you cannot change. Be smart enough to know the difference.
Save your money invest in an IRA.

I also heard to Love thy nieghbor thogh sometimes impossible.
I don't know that I could have ever really heard or understood any of the lessons, however wisely imparted. I knew too much already.

I have found the Desiderata to be the most helpful, especially the following stanza:

    ';You are a child of the universe,/no less than the trees and the stars;/you have a right to be here./And whether or not it is clear to you,/no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.';
Several things I wish I had learned earlier in life:

It's none of my business what other people think of me. And its corollary that not everyone will like me, it's their problem not mine.

Kindness is just as easy, and often easier than, the reverse; add some to the world every day.

Gossip is always about making ourselves feel better at someone else's expense.....avoid it.
Love Beauty. Anything you do, if you do it with Love, down to the smallest of menial tasks, can be a fulfilling and rewarding experience for you and others. There is Beauty in all things, in all situations, in all people. If you learn to appreciate this beauty, and love it, then your whole life becomes an act of worship, meaningful in and of itself, regardless of any percieved successes or failures. Its as simple as that. Verb and Noun, Yang and Yin, Love Beauty.
There was a man who had four sons.

He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly, so he sent them each on a quest to go look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent and twisted.

The second son said, no, it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed. He said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful. It was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with all of them. He said it was ripe and drooping with fruit....full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen only one season in the tree's life.

He told them that you can not judge a tree, or a person, by only one season.

The essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy and love that come from life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it is winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer and the fulfillment of your fall.
I would say that you should always listen to your instincts, especially when it comes to other people. I believe that you pick up ';signals'; or body language from people, sometimes unconsciously, and your mind interprets these signals. Then it warns you if it senses that there's something not right. Sometimes the clues are even more obvious but for whatever reason, you are tempted to ignore them. Don't!!
my friend saw this quote written in an old piece of paper somewhere in her house and she told me about it...

    ';Ad astra per aspera';

    which means

    ';A rough road leads to the stars';

and i have used it as an advice to myself eversince...it always reminds that if i want something, i should work hard for it...the only way with which you could fine true happiness...
This one actually occurred to me within the last two years...It really hit home...No-one told me about it, I just REALIZED it. It goes like this:

No-one owes you anything. YOU OWE EVERYTHING TO YOURSELF.
If something is worth doing, its worth doing well!
one must listen well before commenting. patience is a great virtue and understanding. try always yourself in anothers position to feel their pain. Empathy ,and tolerance for everyone.
I wish I was told by someone long ago to not take things for granted, and to think very carefully before I do something that may cause harm..to make choices based on how I would like to see things turned out..

basically to appreciate nature, my part in nature, and not to be afraid to live simply..and treat people I don't know and /or understand with respect.

i know that if you go to the doctor you can get tablets called migralin or migraleave for migrains but thats all i know sorry

I do not know if a patent/ copyright is necessary for this. Please help as I am seeking serious advice?

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this and perhaps assist me.

I have an idea to alter and thereby re-invent a very common article of clothing. Before I produce any sketches and have prototypes made, I need to know if a patent or copyright is in order.

The following are comparable ideas to my own and I am wondering if the individuals that pioneered making and selling such products recieved some legal protection for their work. For example: sleeve-less shirts, low-cut socks, and v-neck t-shirts are all comparable to my own idea in that they are solely an alteration of pre-existing products.

Did the pioneers of the afformention pursue copyrights or patents, if so which of the two? Thank you so much for your insight.I do not know if a patent/ copyright is necessary for this. Please help as I am seeking serious advice?
Clothing design is not a literary, artistic or musical work, so it is not copyrightable. Certain clothing %26amp; design innovations are patentable. Simple variations on common design elements -- such as your examples -- are not. Some design elements that are associated with particular manufacturers can be registered as trademarks. You need to consult a patent attorney, preferably one with experience in design patents, who can give you an opinion. As a practical matter it is almost impossible to obtain useful patent protection for clothing fashions. Your best bet may be to have an attorney prepare a strong non-disclosure agreement %26amp; use it peddle your design to existing designers or manufacturers -- 90% of which won't even talk to you. Even then, it may not be of much use; plagiarism %26amp; theft of ideas is the lifeblood of the clothing business.I do not know if a patent/ copyright is necessary for this. Please help as I am seeking serious advice?
Technically, anytime a work is created it is automatically copyrighted by default.
This sounds like an asthetic design issue, and copyright is the most appropriate means. Patent is not.

Can you please help me with some advice on about my girlfriend?

I used to have this very special girl of my life that last during february that i'd gave flowers to her on valentine's day, now this school year she suddenly moved away and i don't see her anymore. I sometime when i sit alone i think about her, it feels kinda like she has died but she hasn't, i sometimes cry silently because how much i missed her. What can i do to get myself happy with life again??? Will we ever see each other again someday? like in the next life? Can you please help me with some advice on about my girlfriend?
Can't you keep in contact with her? Does she have a facebook or myspace? A phone? A cellphone? An email address? ANYTHING?

Talk to her! Tell her how you feel about her!

If you can't.. for whatever reason...

you just have to try not to think about her too much.

    Distract yourself with fun activities.

    Hang with your guy friends.

Then, maybe a new girl will come along one day.

Or maybe fate will pull you and that special girl together again someday!

Help and advice for my childs school?

I have two schools to choose from one which has good results in sats and inspection but has terrible facilities building and general learning environment, but all the local kids and kids from street would go to and the other only 5mins drive away but no kids from his immediate surroundings would go to but this school has again good sats results and inspection report but wonderful facitities in comparison to the other school. Also it is bright and stimulation! My decision is which is best for my child, an excellent learning environment or a place to form friendships with children from his street/ estate?Help and advice for my childs school?
my child started school in august and it is mainly kids from round about where we live that go but she has made so many new friends that your kid will too at whatever school they attend and he will also still have kids from your street etc to play with so i wouldn't worry about that. I'd probably go for the school with the best facilities. Kids make friends so easily.Help and advice for my childs school?
Choose the closer school and see if you can donate some of your time to help them clean up. Get a group of parents together who feel the same way you do. Schools are public buildings, who normally do not get enough money from the state. There are many things that can be done to clean up the facilities and make it a cleaner safer place for your child.

Good luck hope you have the time to try it!
He can be friends with kids on the street without going to school with them. Send him to the school that you are more comfortable with.
I had ';School mates'; and ';mates'; from my road. I put my sons in a school a bit away, and they still play with the kids in the street. Kids are like that, they even make friends with kids in the swimming pool!
i would pick the better of the schools they will make new friends and still see the other ones when there at home.

i had a similar problem my kids were in a school but the head teacher changed and the school started going down hill but they had been there for 3 years had all there friends there and they didn't want to change school but at the end of the day you have to chose what is gonna give your kids the best start in life and i moved mine it was the hardest thing i have ever had to do but the best thing i have done as they still see all there friends from there old school and have made loads of friends at there new school and have also come on loads in education .

only one problem now they have so many Friends birthday party lists have become a lot longer
choose the second, don't worry about other kid's do what's best for yours,
kids these days are always making friends so dont worry about that, think about his education. i never worked at school coz i was in the wrong croud.
you only get one chance at getting your childs education right. Go for the school with the best facilities.

Your child will end up with two groups of friends, one from school and the other from your steet. When they go onto secondary school, having such a wide range of friends will help enormously.

This is a very similair situation to ourselves, where we moved to the other side of our village, away from our daughters normal primary school catchment area. She subsequently moved to the secondary school, not only knowing the children from her school but also those from our current estate that she would never normaly have met.
I chose better education. My kids still play with the other kids on our street, but they formed solid friendships with peers more like them. My children are in gifted %26amp; talented curriculums, and are in an environment that I know will constantly allow them to grow.
Go local as the more pupils there is on the roll the more money they will get and they may use that money to tidy up the premises. We all want to give our children the best, but sometimes slumming it can build character in your child. Good luck
If your only concern is about your child not forming friendships with children from his street, then I would definetely go with the school with better learning facilities. Children make friends easily. They spend most of their time in school anyway. The plus-side is also that he/she will have twice as many friends, and his/her social skills will benefit from this!
Whichever school you feel will be the best. Which has the most caring staff, welcoming feel when you walk through the door, bright and interesting displays of childrens' work? When you go to visit which seems to have the happiest children?

SATs results and inspections alone are no good for choosing a school. The school where I work had poor SATs results this year, but then 5 children only started attending our school within 6 months of taking the tests. Their results affected our results but were nothing to do with the quality of teaching at our school.

Inspections only give a snapshot of how the school was performing for a few days when the staff are working under extremely stressful conditions.

If your child is interested in learning, gets support and encouragement from his home environment he/she will probably do well at either school.
I think that you should do what is best for the child educationally. Children always make new friends no matter where they are. Just think of it this way....the child would have two sets of friends. One set from the home area and one set from the new school. He would probably love that.
I'd say choose the school with good facilities and nice learning environment. So that your child will have a good reason to attend school everyday. And surely, they will be making new friends out there. It's more fun to have friends on both side of the fence, right?... stay cool... c';,)
Take him to see both schools and ask him which he would like to go to, after all it is your child that has to go every day. Children are very good at choosing the best situation for themselves if you give them the information that they need.
definatley for the better learning enviroment..as everyone else has said, he will make new friends at school in no time
Send him where his friends are - it is pointless to worry about academic achievement when the child is living in an illiterate household. He will grow up to go on the dole like the rest of his family so he might as well be happy in the meantime.
My little boy has recently started school and Ive sent him to one out of our neighbourhood because its a much better school. I was terribly worried that he wouldn't know anyone and be the outsider. But he has made loads of friends and is very happy, there are always birthday invitations and children running up to play with him when i drop him off in the morning. I would say go with your gut instinct. MOTHER KNOWS BEST!

I need help... I am a cronic nail biter (20+ yrs.) and need tips/ advice to help me stop biting my nails?

My hubby is a chronic nail biter, to the point where they're bleeding or worse. You can get a bottle of stuff at most stores that sell nail polish that's bitter and hangs around for hours. It wasn't strong enough for my guy. We found some heavy duty stuff called Orly No Bite Deterrent. It tastes worse than Bittrex.

Do not eat finger food or cook without washing it off first.I need help... I am a cronic nail biter (20+ yrs.) and need tips/ advice to help me stop biting my nails?
Get acrylic nails, if you're a woman. If you're a guy, get a hobby!

Much Love!!I need help... I am a cronic nail biter (20+ yrs.) and need tips/ advice to help me stop biting my nails?
There is some special nail polish in the store that you can buy so that everytime you bite your nails it tastes nasty and if you continue to bite them it could make you sick.

Kind of cruel but it helps to quit the addiction!

Another suggestion is to get acrilic nails so that way you cant bite your nails and those nails r too strong for you to bite!
I have tried everything.... I am still looking for an answer. I even went to a shrink once who said it's repressed stress.

All the research Ive seen on it shows its like any other obsessive compulsive disorder. Alot of the websites I went to said it can be controlled with the same meds they give people who have O/C disorder. I never took that route, as I deplore pills.... but who knows.

    Also, ask your doctor.
I second the idea of putting something yucky-tasting on them. Do this every day for two months, and the habit to not bite them should take over.
Im 12 and have the same problem! I have tried the no bite polish, it works till you get used to it and bite through it. What works well for me is getting fake nails and using those for 3 weeks because it takes 21 days to break a habit.
there's this stuff used to keep kids from sucking there thumbs. its clear so polish your nails with it every day and use 2 coats so the taste will be extra horrible. if your a girl you might also start getting manicures and your nails fixed up real pretty. seeing your nails so pretty might make you not want to ruin them. this worked for me.
put rubbing alcohol on them so when you bite them they taste bad... or wear mittens :/
i think maybe you wear some nice rings and a bracelet that will make you feel more glamourous and feminine.. and so inspire you to stop the nail biting

You can also put some colourless iodine on them.. got to be colourless so as not to mess your clothes.

and you colour also cut the skin nearest to the top of the nail cos thats usually the part that is itching to be bitten.

or you could play brick game and freecell game, that would really take your mind off those nails
slap your self every time you bite your nails that should work
wear nail posish(i dont know if ur a girl or not)or u can put hot sauce on them .:-)

Nearly everyone regrets their tattoos later, they can even keep you from getting certain jobs

find someone that's 30+ with tattoos (preferably one of your parents friends or a trusted adult) and ask them if they still think their tattoo/s are as cool as they were as they thought them to be when they were a teen
Go for it man!!! It will luk awesum and dont let ur principle restrict ur creativity. If he kiks off just tell him that you have the right to be yourself and that you dont want to be a clone. Might work ^-O gud luk x
you seem a little young for snakebite piercings. but im all for body modification. so just hang in there. lol

  • What 2 peices of advice would you give Lula de Silva to help Brazil become more Earth-Friendly?

Also IF YOU WANT 10 POINTS, how do people in Brazil use their natural resources, such as gold, nickel, uranium, etc? What 2 peices of advice would you give Lula de Silva to help Brazil become more Earth-Friendly?
Great part of the Brazilian resources mainly the gold was stolen by English. Brazil produced so much gold that the quotation of the silver was larger than the one of the gold. The reliquary of the Catholic colonial Brazilian churches is made of silver and not of gold, because the silver was more valuable than the gold. Brazil produced so much diamonds that exist cities and even areas denominated of Diamantina. We have a State called Minas Gerais (General Mine), in that place happened a fact historical call Derrama (SPILLS), English invaded the houses of the residents and they had removed everything that they had wanted gold and diamonds. When they were not English, they were French and also the Dutchmen, all remove what were able of Brazil.

President Lula was a metallurgist that was always promoting strikes for better wages, he lived his life in an of the largest cities of the planet (S茫o Paulo) for him a chimney expelling smoke to generate 10 jobs is more important than a forest with 1000 animals, hoist for him is good to do board, to make him change in way of thinking is not easy. What 2 peices of advice would you give Lula de Silva to help Brazil become more Earth-Friendly?
Suicide for him and eutanasia for his followers.

I like machine decks a bit, because of limiter removal and such.

8.10 as it stands. However, why not add polymerization and get the Steam Gyroid fusion card (6*, machine-fusion, atk-2200 def-1600. Gyroid + Steamroid)) Also, I recommend getting 3 copies of Jetroid since it's ability has saved me quite a few times (say a card effect that let me draw during the opponents turn gives me a sakuretsu armor. if Jetroid is attacked, boom seeyah.) I'd also recommend going out and grabbing the machine revolt structure deck, since you get Ancient Gear Golem, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, and of course the gadget trio. Thanks to the effects the gadgets have on Gadjiltron, you could own.I have a Machine Deck and I need some advice can anyone help me?
Well first off if you are playing Advanced you need to get rid of Limiter Removal, 1 Call of the Haunted, 1 Megamorph, 1 Mystical Space Typhoon and you should use Bottomless Trap Hole instead of Trap Hole. Try this deck because you like the XYZ.

Can someone help me with road trip advice?

Edmonton Alberta Canada, to Atlanta Georgia.

Are there any websites to see things like motels, and restaraunts and gas stations on the way there? Can someone help me with road trip advice?
Start by mapping out your trip be city, decide where you are going to stop based on the number of miles the trip is and the number of gallons your tank will hold at full. This will save you some time by eliminating unnecessary stops. Always fill up when you get to 1/4 of a tank to be sure not to run out of gas. Check yahoo maps for gas pricesCan someone help me with road trip advice?
I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home.

Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.
Join AAA... that's what they do. Ask for a triptik and a tourbook... it has all the information.

    I need a legal help/advice on a prenup?

i just became engaged.i'm 33 never been married or have children, worked all my life at a good job.i have multible stocks, bonds, and savings accounts that = over 100k.my bf is divorced with a child a huge debt(30k) from his exwife with no other savings.he is a very ';devoted'; dad(what his son whats, his son gets) and has already told me his son is his 1st priority and he will never love me as much as his son.now add a very controling, money loving exwife to the picture that guilts my bf into giving her anything she wants.he already gave her more money/personal property than the courts ordered and continues to do so.i have played with the idea of a prenup with my bf but hes not for. its a trust thing he said.if i pushed it he might do it but it would damage our relationship.i love my bf and he loves me but i will allways be second to his son and if push came to shove i don't know what would happen.what can i do to protect my money other than a prenup?I need a legal help/advice on a prenup?
    This situation SCREAMS for counseling.

Premarital counseling for you as a couple.

Financial counseling for you as an individual.

Legal counseling for you as an individual.

I can see where you'd be a bit irked that he's going above and beyond his obligations, and where you sense that he feels your earnings are there to pick up the slack.

Don't let him go any deeper into debt ... say, by buying a ring ... until you get counseling. Lots.I need a legal help/advice on a prenup?
I think that if he wont go for the prenup, then dont go for him. Dump the loser that seems to be still married to his ex. I can understand your being 2nd to his son, but i think you are really 3rd to his ex. Think about.
You truly cannot marry someone who is so financially different than you......while that $30K debt is ';his';......you will soon find yourself supporting ';his'; lifestyle as well as making his child support payments/debt payments when he falls short.....

Further, the love of for a child and a significant other are TWO different things.....if he said that to you......he's saying that he's looking for someone to help support him in his efforts to cherish his child.....not a partner.........and frankly a very immature statment all the way around....

If you live in a community property state......you need more than a prenup.....you need individual legal counsel to protect yourself in the long haul.....all your investments will continue to grow and the value on the date of marriage vs. the value on the date of separation......you'll be paying him some big bucks......

While he may be divorced from his ex-wife......he certainly hasn't ended the relationship......you really want to marry his ex-wife too?? cuz that's what'll happen.
If he is still giving his EX money, he did something wrong or has no -back bone. I would test the waters a little longer. On the plus side if he has custody of the kids then she is the bad seed and you need to keep him away from her. Is the boy spoiled, then he has no back bone. There is only two reasons why women Need men in this world. Sperm and that felling of security.
No other way to protect except pre-nup. Yes, it is a trust thing and I generally am against them. But in your case with your assets and his extreme debt and debt potential, go see a lawyer and get it done.

I'd seriously think again about getting married to this man. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life being 3rd in his life behind the son and ex-wife? That will get very old very fast.

Plus, if he gives his precious son everything he wants, how soon will he run through your money after you get married?

You had better get counselling before it's too late.
it isnt a trust thing its a helping yourself thing. i love my fiance more than anything and i trust him and he trusts me but we are still signing a prenup because we both want to make sure our assets are covered.

Help women only i need your advice please help?

Would you date a 19 y/o who's nice, and respectful, he's super cute, and no he's not a jerk (used to be fat when he was young) and is still a virgin had the chance to loose it but is still (Waiting for that special girl) has a good job, and owns a Ferrari F430?

I got girls trying to date me, but the only problem is after the weight loss i've got excess skin on me this is what's got me feeling down would this be a problem to you women?Help women only i need your advice please help?
Dude can i borrow your ferrari? as for the skin thing work out do running pull ups nd weights then when your barrel chested you look tough chicks thin k your hot and your still innocent to have your virginity but dont tell a girl untill your in bed with er or shell txt her mates in 15 seocnds flat also cause you look like a kid and between us guys chicks dig virgins makes em feel bad cause there doing sumthing your mom wouldnt want you to do instead of you taking their virginityHelp women only i need your advice please help?
Sounds great! I wouldn't date you since I'm married, but as a person you sound really nice. But I've never seen a guy with the excess skin you're talking about. Any way working out will fix it? If you think that's the problem. I do notice that a lot of people don't notice my flaws until I point them out, so if you're used to mentioning it, don't bring it up. (Ps. Yay for virginity!)
If you can afford a Ferrari you can afford surgery to remove the extra skin.

Need help/advice for applying for a job?

I have a few questions when it comes to applying for a job.

    1) does it make a big difference if you dress nicely or not when dropping off your application (not an interview)?

    2) Ive heard that it is good to ask for a manager... what would i say to him/ask him?

any more advice would be helpful alsoNeed help/advice for applying for a job?
    1. Dress to fit the work you want. If you're applying to work for a bank or in a law firm, even if it's just ';dropping off a resume/picking up an app';, you should dress like you would if you worked there. Less formal jobs don't require quite that same level, but go chinos and a polo shirt, not cutoffs, a tee and flip-flops. Be as neat and clean as you can.

    2. I wouldn't just 'drop in'; as someone who works the front desk at my job sometimes, I can tell you that even clients and known sales reps sometimes get the 'nope, can't' if they just happen to be around and decide to see someone. They may have a meeting or a deadline and not have time.

A better approach is to schedule an informational interview -- find out who to call, and see if you can set up a time. Explain your interest in their field and that you would like to see if they have a half-hour or so to just talk about their area of expertise and . It's a perfect time to bring a resume, business card or portfolio (preferably on CD) and leave a good impression. If you do this, make sure you are prepared.Need help/advice for applying for a job?
1.Depending on the job. A construction laborer no an office worker yes.

    2. Tell them you want a job.
Always dress nice. a step above the normal dress code for the business. I am not sure about asking for a manger. Though you ask for the Office Manger or the Human Resources person. and if the person comes to the front, you can then ask if they have time for an interview, since you are already there.

I would call ahead of time and talk to the receptionist and also ask for her advise. Never under estimate a receptionist. they know a lot, and they have a lot of power too. Be nice and professional with her. Remember that if the receptionist doesn't want to call the office manger or the HR person, all she had to do, is tell you that that person is in a meeting.

  • Avon reps--could you help me with advice on finding prospects?

Hi there fellow Avon reps! I really need some tips on getting my business going. I see how the power of three can be successful, but I have no idea about how to start with that, especially since my place of employment prohibits solicitation (I can't really do more than mention that I'm a rep to coworkers and I'm not supposed to say anything to my customers). How do you start those conversations in the grocery store line? My biggest challenge is that I have little to invest in this right now--I really can't do more than order 1 set of catalogs per campaign because I already have a limited income, and that makes demo ordering, etc. very hard. What do I do? How do I proceed without being too pushy or spending a lot of money? I have already done most of the training videos.Avon reps--could you help me with advice on finding prospects?

My family is moving. Can you help with advice about mail?

We have completed change of address cards, but fear that we won't get state refunds which we filed on time, Apr. 15th. As I understand it government checks are not forwarded. Is there a website to report the change or some other way to report it?My family is moving. Can you help with advice about mail?
Look up the states you are waiting on refunds from on (whatever state).gov There should be a link or search box for change of address. You just need to notify the states. Honestly tho unless you just filed near April 15th you should have had your refund by now. adn even if you filed on April 15th you should of had your state refund.

check out the .gov sites. If you think a check got lost notify them immediately. Also, if you call and you get a recording and want to talk to a live person try this trick....when it goes into its spiel push one for this, push two for that...keep pushing zero. It confuses the automated system and instead of letting you hang up a real person will come on to help you. (works 90% of the time!)My family is moving. Can you help with advice about mail?
call your state revenue office and they should lead you in the proper direction and if you are waiting on federal, call IrS office and report your change of address.
once you start working in a new state, the irs will know all about it.
state u live in .gov or call the state irs dept and give new address.

I need help in my career path, can you give me good advice?

I earned my bachelor degree in corporate finance 3 1/2 years ago. I have really struggled to find a job. I know that I would like to become an investment analyst. I am thinking about obtaining my Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Would this help me out a lot in finding a job? Also, do you know anything about this designation?I need help in my career path, can you give me good advice?
It sounds like your stuck. The clue is that you want more education when you haven't found anything. That's a stall tactic. The problem is that after your done with this additional education your still stuck with finding a job except now your in more debt. You want the perfect job or situtation. That's ok but the important thing is to jump in. When I was unemployed a couple of years ago I kept looking for a new job, nothing happened and my self esteem went down the tubes making it hard to even get out of bed. My wife said go to a temp agency, any agency. I got an $8.00/hr job making copies. I was used to making $30/hr but I took it because it was better than zero. I loved making $64 a day, I was finally making money, my self esteem went up and I did finally find a new job that was more appropriate for me. So get going, do anything, just do something.

Help I Need advice from an experienced PAINTER or WOOD STAINER....!!!?

I have repainted a wicker rocking chair with spray paint. It seems that in some areas even after a few days it is sticky and hasn't dried completly. I tried placing it out in the sunlight today and that only helped slightly. Is this normal? What can i do to get the paint to dry? It's for a birthday gift and I am running out of time Help!

3 minutes ago - 3 days left to answer.Help I Need advice from an experienced PAINTER or WOOD STAINER....!!!?
Are you using an enamel paint suitable for wicker furniture. It should say on the can if it is suitable for it. if not then that is your problem. Hope that helps. =DHelp I Need advice from an experienced PAINTER or WOOD STAINER....!!!?
There's got to be something under the paint that has caused this. If it is sticky, you should be able to wipe the paint off those spots. Wipe down those spots with a quick drying cleaner (Lacquer Thinner, Acetone, or try your nail polish remover)(which is basically Enamel Reducer).

Then touch up the spots with more paint.

Spray a mist-coat first, let that dry, then get it a little heavier coat.

    Sound like a nice gift.
Put this item in an area that can get maximum air movement around it, like outside but not necessarily in the sun, or in the garage with a fan blowing on it.

    Most people, if they really like someone, and find that person attractive in other ways learn to overlook certain ';flaws.';

Since you are so young and you claim to have so much excess skin (enough to bring down your self-esteem)--then you probably lost weight really quickly. The youthful elasticity of your skin will eventually kick and catch up. You should also consider exercising--weight-lifting to fill out muscles (and skin). If you can, see a doctor and ask for advice on who to see about maybe surgery if it is that extreme.

If you meet a girl who seems to be really special, get to know her as friends first. Try to hold back on dating behavior, but go out ';as friends.'; Catch a movie, get some pizza, hang out at the park and play frisbee or go to a local activity--like bowling, a local stock-car race, a live music show, a rodeo, a carnival, putt-putt(mini-golf), go-kart racing, an amusement park...anywhere cool. Get to know her on a friendship basis. If she flirts with you, then you can realistically and honestly open up to her about your concern. She might like you so much she just won't care. If it ';grosses her out'; --and it might-- then you'll have a friend, but not a lover. It will not be wasted time. But you can try hanging out with another girl until you find the right one. You can hang out at different times with more than one girl. Don't allow one to have too much hold on your time or Ferrari--keep yourself available, but DO NOT allow yourself to be used. And don't be in a rush. Seriously, you're only 19. Be prepared that it may take a few years to get to that special person. Once you find her you'll realize you wouldn't have had it any other way...and by then your skin will have tightened up some, too.Help women only i need your advice please help?
Yes, I would date you. I decided that before I read about the Ferrari BTW. You have a lot going for you, try to feel good about yourself.
hahaha you sound like a dick. Gross excess skin btw, if you're only 19 going to the gym should be able to sort that out
it wouldn't be a problem to me..

I would definitely not take the Lamborghini to school. It has a high possibility of being damaged. scratched or stolen, especially if you annoy someone.Help i need advice it will be fast read here?
Sounds to me like you are relying on material possessions to buy popularity and confusing that for friendships. Leave the car at home and any other ostentatious signs of wealth and give people a chance to get to know you instead of your money. It will be scary to start with quite probably but worth it in the long run. :-)

I am from WVa, and my licence has been suspended. Could you help me by giving me guidence advice and answers? ?

I have a suspended licence, how can I rectify and reinstate it?I am from WVa, and my licence has been suspended. Could you help me by giving me guidence advice and answers? ?
First off it depends on the reason why your license was suspended. If it was for non-payment of outstanding ticket(s), pay the fine(s) off, go to DMV %26amp; pay the reinstatement fee (it used to be $15, not sure if it still is or not) and your license will be reinstated.

If it was suspended for non-payment of child support, you need to get caught up on what you are in arrears for before you can even think about getting the suspension lifted. WV charges interest on all past due support, so the longer it stays in arrears, the more you will owe. (I believe the interest fees add up to approx $20 per month, each month that the support stays in arrears)

If it was a court ordered suspension (DUI conviction for example), then you must wait the amount of time ordered by the court for your suspension before you can go to DMV %26amp; pay the reinstatement fee to get the suspension lifted.I am from WVa, and my licence has been suspended. Help I need advice for my best friend?

Alright my best friend ryan likes this girl. But hes to afraid to socialize with her because his front teeth are crooked. I keep on teeling him that it doesnt matter just do it but he wont. And I kinda feel sorry for him. And I dont know what to tell him next so what should I tell him? And to add this to the question would you girls care if a guy had bad teeth.Help I need advice for my best friend?
well, teeth are defiantly noticed when talking to a guy, its one of the things girls notice first, but it doesn't normally bother girls. i mean, if you got a personality, who cares wat ur teeth are like! ha, so i wouldn't care if his teeth were crooked because most peoples are. i more look at personality and attitude than anything. tell ur friend that the girls that are worth going for are the ones that u can talk to without worrying bout ur teeth. she wont notice, she'll only notice his personality and attitude when he goes and talks to her

plus....chicks dig shy guysHelp I need advice for my best friend?
As long as your friend goes up to her as shows that he has a lot of confidence. The girl isn't really going to care about his teeth. If he is really that self conscious of his teeth he should bring them up in conversation some how and kind of goof on them so it breaks the ice. If the girl sees he can make fun of himself she will also see he has confidence and he is comfortable with his imperfections.
To be honest for some girls it does matter how a guy looks. But if I were him I would seek professional help (a dentist) it's good to feel good about urself. I do have problems with my skin and it makes me feel very uncomfortable around guys. It's not like they say anything it's me who feel bad, it might be the same with him.

I hope he gets it sorted soon.

Your are a very good friend tho...Talk to him nicely and encourage him to get help.

Ant tell him not to be shy around the girl
set them up on a blind date with each other and yes, he needs to get over his crooked teeth. Or maybe double date?

Depends on what you mean by bad teeth - crooked? not really, missing front teeth? probably.

    ';Meth'; teeth? definitely

oh - and beware bad breathe. YUCK
well...frankly they ***** care less..........but it wud hurt wen they kiss..lol...wish him g'luck just make him believe that she wont notice(say it a few times n he'll believe ya) n make him approach her....if shes a bi*ch no luck......BUT however ...if shes even a bit descent n sweet..she definitely wont care..trust me on this 1!!
dude n im not sayin u hav 2 but u culd talk 2 the girl n let her noe n jus say he 2 shy i mean the worst thats gonna happen is she isnt interested but that happens n ur friend is jus gonna need 2 move on n the teeth dude he needs 2 get over that
Thats the way he is and the girl is gonig to have to accept that. Just tell him to go for it. True love doesnt judge it comes from within.

that was cheessssy but dude just tell 'em to talk to her.
I dont care about teeth its the heart girls love.

the guy I like has bent nose.

small upper lip but I hardly notice.

he's super sweet and thats what girls like. especailly if a guy can

    make a girl laugh.
If the girl doesn't like him because of his teeth she isn't worth it... and i like guys for personalities :)

He is working with the program called:All Data. It's in English. He wants to revise the text to Spanish. Does anyone know what program to use for that?A friend of mine needs some software programming advice. Can anyone help? ?
    Hi,

I think All Data Program is a mining software program. If you want to revise in Spanish its easy, you can easily revise your All Data text to Spanish. For that you can use this site http://translate.google.com/

You select English to Spanish language and copy your English text and paste on text area and click Translate you will get your result. Or you want to read whole site into Spanish then use this link http://www.google.com.au/language_tools

Add your site address and click Translate button to read in Spanish. Again you are not satisfied then use MS language tools for your Windows.

I need help or advice. I have OCD and I cant keep a job?

I have had 15 jobs in 1 years beacause of OCD... I am in Canada. I cant stand living like this. I have no money for everything. I dont know what to do. Anyone help me and tell me how to keep my job.I need help or advice. I have OCD and I cant keep a job?
It all depends on what your triggers are, but if you need to be able to do certain things, when you need to do them, then maybe you should look into an at-home business. Is that feasible for you? Since you need to check and re-check things, maybe you would make a good editor or accountant.

I've also heard that there are some drugs out there, like anti-anxiety medications, that help temper the symptoms somewhat. You could check into that.I need help or advice. I have OCD and I cant keep a job?
Canada has national healthcare, which is supposedly free. You need to see a doctor who may refer you to a psychiatrist. There are certain therapies and drugs that can help you with this problem.
I have a mild case of OCD. The only thing I can say is just relax, if there is one thing that you can focus on ( ex. something you really like, such as a guy or a movie) while working will help.
i'll be here for moral support: dogmicjoe@yahoo.com. try holisticonline.com and check under diseases and conditions for OCD
Canada has good health care...see a psychiatrist and get on meds ASAP !
I myself was diagnosed with OCD, although mine is different from yours and not of the same severity. There are medications out there to treat OCD, Zoloft being one of them. Go to a psychiatrist and get proffesional help.
